On May 3 and 4, the Folk Art Fair will take place at the National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine.
This event offers a rare chance to experience the beauty and spirit of traditional Ukrainian folk and applied arts in person, and to explore the country’s rich heritage of time-honored crafts.
The fair supports local artisans and helps preserve their skills, while giving visitors a unique opportunity to connect with Ukrainian history and culture. Each handcrafted item available for purchase reflects the traditions, artistry, and soul of Ukraine’s folk heritage.
Visitors will be welcomed with a wide array of traditional Ukrainian decorative and applied arts, including weaving, embroidery, pysanka (egg decorating), folk painting, wickerwork, ceramics, straw weaving, beadwork, and more.
To deepen the experience and appreciation of folk art, the fair will host engaging hands-on workshops, where guests can try their hand at various crafts and take part in the revival of Ukraine’s artisanal traditions.
Adding to the vibrant atmosphere, folk music ensembles from the Kyiv, Zhytomyr, Vinnytsia, and Kirovohrad regions will perform live on stage, bringing the sounds of tradition to life.
Location: 1 Akademika Tronko Street, Kyiv.
