On 23-25 October 2018, Volodymyr Zhemchuhov, Adviser to the Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine and Hero of Ukraine, will meet with students in Odesa.
On 23 October, the meeting takes place at Odesa I.I.Mechnikov National University, in Great Chemistry Room of the Chemistry Department building (27 Pastera St), at 1:00pm.
On 24 October, Mr Zhemchuhov meets students of Odesa State University of Internal Affairs (1 Uspenska St), in Room 318, at 3:00pm. At 1:00pm on that day, a press conference for local news media is scheduled.
On 25 October, the meeting is held at Odesa National Academy of Food Technologies (the room is yet to be decided), at 9:30am.
The meeting will be in open microphone format, with anyone wishing to do so able to ask their questions. Also, “The Kremlin’s Prisoners”, a film produced by the order of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, will be presented at the event.
At the end of the meeting, the participants will get discs with the film and other information materials.
Volodymyr Zhemchuhov has supported resistance to Russian aggression. Since May 2014, he has been organising and actively participating in the resistance movement against Russian occupation. From 29 September 2015 to 17 September 2016, he was held captive by militants of the so-called “LNR”, having blown himself up with a trap wire and been seriously injured. Mr Zhemchuhov has also taken an active part in state and volunteer initiatives in Ukraine and abroad, including military and patriotic lectures and discussions with pupils, cadets, and servicepeople.
