On 22 February 2019, Volodymyr Zhemchuhov, Adviser to the Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine and Hero of Ukraine, meets with students of Ihor Sikorskyi Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. The meeting takes place in room 5 at 10:25am (Building 8, 1/37 Akademika Yanhelia St).
The meeting will be in “open microphone” format, with anyone wishing to do so able to ask their questions and take part in discussions. Also, “Prisoners of the Kremlin”, a film produced by the order of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, will be presented.
At the end of the meeting, the participants will be given discs with the film and other information materials.
Volodymyr Zhemchuhov has supported resistance to Russian aggression. Since May 2014, he has been organising and actively participating in the resistance movement against Russian occupation. From 29 September 2015 through 17 September 2016, he was held captive by militants of the so-called “LNR”, having blown himself up on a trap wire and been seriously injured. Mr Zhemchuhov has also taken an active part in state and volunteer initiatives in Ukraine and abroad, including military and patriotic lectures and discussions with pupils, cadets, and servicepeople.
