On 25 September 2019, students of the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management are to meet with Volodymyr Zhemchuhov, Hero of Ukraine, within the framework of an educational project titled “Prisoners of the Kremlin”.
The meeting takes place at 2 Frometivska St (Building 1, Hall of Assembly), at 1:00pm.
The meeting will be in “open microphone” format, with anyone wishing to do so able to ask their questions and take part in discussions. Also, “Prisoners of the Kremlin”, a film produced by the order of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, will be presented.
At the end of the meeting, the participants will be given discs with the film and other information materials.
Volodymyr Zhemchuhov has supported resistance to Russian aggression. Since May 2014, he has been organising and actively participating in the resistance movement against Russian occupation. From 29 September 2015 through 17 September 2016, he was held captive by militants of the so-called “LNR”, having blown himself up on a trap wire and been seriously injured. Mr Zhemchuhov has also taken an active part in state and volunteer initiatives in Ukraine and abroad, including military and patriotic lectures and discussions with pupils, cadets, and servicepeople.
