Mykola Tochytskyi held discussions with the Louvre’s leadership on strengthening cooperation in the preservation of Ukraine’s cultural heritage

On June 24, during a working visit to France, the Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine, Mykola Tochytskyi, held a meet with the Louvre’s leadership.
The discussion focused primarily on further cooperation in the protection and preservation of Ukraine’s cultural heritage amid the ongoing war.

“We hope to strengthen our cooperation and keep working together to protect Ukrainian cultural heritage, which is an important part of Europe’s cultural legacy”, said the Minister.

Mykola Tochytskyi expressed gratitude to the Louvre for its strong support since the start of russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

He also noted France’s active role in projects to protect Ukrainian museum collections — especially its partnership with the Bohdan and Varvara Khanenko Museum of Arts, which helped showcase Ukrainian heritage at the Louvre and Louvre-Lens in 2023.
