On October 15, the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine welcomed a French delegation led by Romain Desthieux, Director of the Ukrainian office of the French government’s development agency, Business France.

The visit took place as part of a trip to Kyiv organized by Business France for a delegation of French companies. From October 14 to 16, representatives from various sectors of French business interested in cooperation with Ukraine arrived in Kyiv for the first time to establish partnerships and present technological solutions that could support the country’s reconstruction process.
Part of the delegation met with Anastasia Bondar, Deputy Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformations, and Digitalization. The French business representatives showcased technologies and services that could prove valuable for restoring and preserving Ukraine’s cultural heritage.

Among the participants was TimeLapse Go, a company specializing in real-time construction monitoring using artificial intelligence and advanced video equipment. One of its most renowned projects was the reconstruction of the legendary Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris after the fire, where its cameras documented the entire restoration process—from the first stages of work to completion.
Gaël Polès, co-founder of TimeLapse Go, visited Ukraine for the first time and donated equipment to support the restoration of Ukrainian cultural sites.
“It’s a great honor for me if my equipment can help restore and preserve Ukraine’s cultural heritage. It’s truly inspiring,” he said.
The donated equipment will be received by the Ukrainian State Institute of Cultural Heritage. According to the Institute’s director, Artem Paliienko, it will soon be installed at one of the restoration sites.
Also taking part in the meeting was TTGE, a French company operating in the fields of surveying, technical, and infrastructure engineering. TTGE works with clients in architecture, urban planning, construction, energy, rail transport, and cultural heritage preservation. The company expressed its readiness to contribute to the reconstruction and protection of Ukraine’s cultural assets.
The Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine extends its sincere gratitude to the French business community for supporting our country and contributing to the preservation of its cultural heritage. Cooperation between Ukrainian and French partners will form a strong foundation for successful joint projects in the future.
