On July 29, Andrii Nadzhos, Deputy Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications for European Integration, held a meeting with Vineta Kleine, Head of the Communications Department at the NATO Representation in Ukraine.

The discussion focused primarily on current strategic communications challenges amid the ongoing armed aggression by the russian federation against Ukraine, as well as on the Communication Strategy for Euro-Atlantic Integration and the action plan for the near future.
The meeting continued the constructive dialogue between Ukraine and the Alliance against the backdrop of increasing information threats. In the context of the full-scale war, the state is actively adapting its strategic communications system to new challenges — which is why the discussion centered on updating the relevant Strategy.

During the conversation, the Ukrainian side presented the main approaches to drafting the new strategic document, which is being developed in close coordination with relevant government bodies. According to Andrii Nadzhos, the Strategy is intended not only as a political guideline but also as an effective tool for implementing concrete decisions in the field of communications. The document will also emphasize high adaptability to changes in the security environment.
Vineta Kleine assured support for Ukraine’s efforts in strategic communications and confirmed NATO’s openness to further cooperation and regular dialogue.
Participants also outlined a number of practical steps to strengthen coordination efforts, including preparations for the upcoming meeting of the Strategic Communications Coordination Council, tentatively scheduled for this autumn.
It is worth noting that in 2025, the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications has intensified cooperation with NATO’s Representation in Ukraine and the Alliance’s headquarters in Brussels within the framework of the Comprehensive Assistance Package (CAP) aimed at strengthening the state’s strategic communications capabilities. Under prior agreements, several requests from the Ukrainian side were approved, including the organization of trainings, information campaigns, and joint analytical work.
