On August 30, Oleksandr Tkachenko, Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, met with Rima Abdul Malak, Minister of Culture of the French Republic, in Paris. It was about specific assistance provided to Ukraine in the field of preservation of Ukrainian cultural heritage, support for Ukrainian artists, performers, media workers and cinematographers who remain to work at home during the war.

“The conversation with the French colleague was very frank, aimed at specific results. The help of the nation — one of Europe’s leaders — is inspiring! We have agreed on permanent cooperation with the French Ministry and a specific plan of action as well, which is good news. In addition, I invited the Minister of Culture of France to visit Ukraine,” said Oleksandr Tkachenko, Minister of Culture and Information Policy.

During the meeting, the parties have agreed on a specific joint action plan aimed at helping Ukrainians. Therefore, in the nearest future, a number of cultural events will take place in France with the participation of Ukrainian cultural figures and artists.
