On July 14, at the BBC Proms concert held at the Royal Albert Hall in London, Bohdana Frolyak’s piece of composition Let There Be Light was performed. It marked its world premiere for a symphony orchestra as a specially commission by the BBC. The conductor for the performance was Dalia Stasevska, who was born in Kyiv. She serves as the principal conductor of the Lahti Symphony Orchestra and the principal guest conductor of the BBC Symphony Orchestra.

As the conductor mentioned, through music, the world will learn more about Ukrainians, about the light within each of us that can overcome darkness. Listen to the piece of composition, feel yourself, our pain, our longing and the bells ringing for the fallen, while simultaneously embodying a hopeful light,” said Galyna Grygorenko, Deputy Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.
The grandiose BBC Proms concert, showcasing a multitude of participants and renowned figures in the world of classical music, opened the eight-week summer season of daily classical orchestral concerts and other events. These annual gatherings primarily take place at the iconic Royal Albert Hall situated in the heart of London.
