Mykola Tochytskyi discussed joint cultural projects and development of historical dialogue with Polish partners

On November 26, Mykola Tochytskyi, the Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine, held a meeting with Paweł Kowal, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland and Head of the Council for Cooperation with Ukraine, Agnieszka Góralska, Chargé d’Affaires of the Republic of Poland in Ukraine, and Jarosław Godun, Director of the Polish Institute.

During the meeting, the parties coordinated the plans for implementation of joint cultural initiatives, particularly in the context of Poland’s upcoming EU presidency in the first half of 2025. They also discussed ways to advance the dialogue on historical memory.

The Minister expressed gratitude to the Polish government and people for their steadfast support of Ukraine in its fight against russian aggression.

He underscored that collaborative artistic projects exemplify the strong bonds of mutual understanding between the Ukrainian and Polish peoples. Such initiatives not only strengthen bilateral relations but also help to draw global attention to the critical need to protect cultural heritage from the devastating impacts of war.

Mykola Tochytskyi further noted the constructive and fruitful dialogue with Polish partners regarding the mutual commemoration of historical sites.
