Mykola Tochytskyi discussed the implementation of joint projects in film and media with the leadership of French institutions

On June 24 in Paris, the Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine, Mykola Tochytskyi, held a meeting with Gaëtan Bruel, President of the National Center of Cinema and Animated Pictures (CNC) of France.  They discussed joint initiatives in film production, including support for Ukrainian film projects, cultural exchange, and institutional cooperation.

The Ukrainian delegation also included  Ambassador of Ukraine to France Vadym Omelchenko and Svitlana Fomenko, Director of the Ukrainian Cultural Center in France.

During his visit to France, Mykola Tochytskyi also met with Bruno Patino, President of the Franco-German cultural TV channel ARTE, along with members of its executive committee. The meeting focused on expanding Ukrainian audiences’ access to ARTE’s content, increasing Ukrainian-language subtitles, and Ukraine’s participation in various channel initiatives.

For reference, ARTE — known for its cultural, documentary, and educational programming — is available in Ukraine via cable, satellite, digital TV, and online through the platform arte.tv.

Most programs can be streamed for free with subtitles in multiple languages, including English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Polish.
