Mykola Tochytskyi had a phone call with the Czech Minister of Culture Martin Baxa

On January 9, the Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine Mykola Tochytskyi had a phone conversation with the Minister of Culture of the Czech Republic Martin Baxa.  

The Ministers discussed strengthening bilateral cultural cooperation and joint projects aimed to support cultural heritage during current challenges.

Mykola Tochytskyi thanked the Czech side for providing mobile equipment for digitizing library collections. This project, led by the Czech National Library, the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, and the Czech Committee of the International Council of Museums  (ICOM) with donor support, plays a crucial role in preserving and providing access to Ukraine’s cultural heritage.

The Ministers also discussed the upcoming Ukraine Culture Conference “Cooperation for Resilience”. Mykola Tochytskyi invited his Czech counterpart to participate in the Conference, aimed at uniting international efforts on the support and protection of the Ukrainian cultural sector.
