Mykola Tochytskyi held a meeting with Askold Lozynskyj

On June 2, the Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine, Mykola Tochytskyi, held a meeting with Askold Lozynskyj, President of the Ukrainian Free University Foundation.

They discussed strengthening cooperation in cultural diplomacy, supporting Ukrainians living abroad, and coordinating efforts to counter russian propaganda and disinformation.

Mykola Tochytskyi expressed his gratitude to Askold Lozynskyj for his leadership as President of the Ukrainian World Congress from 1998 to 2008, particularly for his efforts to raise international awareness of the Holodomor as a genocide of the Ukrainian people, and for his contribution to promoting the Ukrainian language, culture, and national identity among Ukrainians around the world.

The Minister stressed the need for continued joint efforts to preserve Ukrainian identity, protect the rights of Ukrainians living abroad, and stay united against russian aggression.

Askold Lozynskyj is a respected community leader and a member of several Ukrainian-American and international Ukrainian organizations. An attorney based in the U.S., he currently leads the Ukrainian Free University Foundation in New York. Born in New York City, he served as President of the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (1992–2000) and the Ukrainian World Congress (1998–2008). He continues to actively support Ukraine on the international stage.
