Mykola Tochytskyi met with the Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta to Ukraine to discuss further cooperation

On April 4, Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine, Mykola Tochytskyi, met with Antonio Gazzanti Pugliese di Cotrone, Ambassador of the Sovereign Order of Malta to Ukraine.

They discussed ways to strengthen cultural cooperation, focusing on the protection of Ukraine’s cultural heritage during the full-scale war.

A key topic of the meeting was the upcoming international conference, The War against Ukraine: Cultural and Environmental Losses”, scheduled for July 2025. Organized by the Embassy of the Sovereign Order of Malta to Ukraine and with support from UNESCO, the event will bring together representatives of Ukrainian authorities, international organizations, diplomats, academics, religious communities, and civil society.

The conference aims to address the urgent challenges of humanitarian diplomacy caused by russia’s armed aggression and to develop effective tools for global cooperation in responding to cultural and environmental destruction.
