Next year is the Year of Ukrainian Culture in Moldova

On December 29, during an online meeting, Oleksandr Tkachenko, Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, and Sergiu Prodan, Minister of Culture of Moldova, discussed plans and visions for organizing the Year of Ukrainian Culture in the Republic of Moldova.

“This year was a turning point for the relations between Ukraine and Moldova. It has brought us much closer and we have big plans to strengthen our relations. We begin to specify our plans. There are many ideas, many opportunities and options for cooperation between our countries, institutions and collectives,” said Oleksandr Tkachenko.

The Ukraine’s Minister suggested to the Minister of Culture of Moldova that Moldovan groups perform at the Odesa Opera. In addition, the partners could host the collective of the Mariupol Theater.
