Oleksandr Tkachenko called the G7 countries to support culture and media in Ukraine

On June 19, the Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine Oleksandr Tkachenko took part in an online meeting of the Group of Seven (G7) media and culture ministers. He called international partners to provide real support to Ukrainian media and workers of cultural sphere. 

During the meeting, Oleksandr Tkachenko told and showed the video about russian war crimes in Ukraine – killing Ukrainians, waging an aggressive information war, investing huge sums in it, and generally trying to wipe out Ukrainian culture and identity. 

“Called the world’s largest and strongest democracies to move to real action and real support, which will be expressed in money which will be directed to specific needs in Ukraine, such as: to support our media, which have been working 24/7 for 116 days and without profit in Ukraine and to support cultural sphereand ourworkers in Ukraine. We need such support for our people and the real help of our partners right here – in Ukraine,” said the Minister.
