Oleksandr Tkachenko proposed EU countries to allocate 1% of their culture budget to Ukrainian culture and media

“We hope for strong support from our partners, especially before the approaching winter. The redistribution of 1% from national budgets for culture and media of the EU countries annually during 2023-2026 to support Ukrainian culture and media can be such an option for joint assistance,” said Oleksandr Tkachenko, Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, during a press conference in Brussels yesterday.

The Minister offered this during his speech at the session of the Council of Ministers of Education, Youth, Culture and Sports of the European Union.
