On April 24, Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine Mykola Tochytskyi held an online meeting with Minister of Culture of Italy Alessandro Giuli.

The discussion focused on preparations for the Ukraine recovery Conference (URC-2025), which will be held in Rome this July. Both sides emphasized the importance of the event as a key opportunity to strengthen international support for Ukraine’s recovery, especially in the culture sector.
Mykola Tochytskyi stressed the need to boost cultural cooperation between Ukraine and Italy and to protect cultural heritage as a vital part of Ukraine’s recovery after the full-scale invasion.
He also expressed gratitude to Italy for its continued support — in particular, for launching the idea of an international cultural coalition during the G7 Culture Ministers’ Meeting in Naples in September 2024.
He expressed special appreciation to the Italian delegation for taking part in the International Conference on Culture in Ukraine, “Cooperation for Resilience”, held on February 1 in Uzhhorod, and for supporting the Declaration adopted at the event.
Alessandro Giuli, in turn, confirmed Italy’s willingness to keep strengthening cultural ties and highlighted the importance of strong partnerships in helping Ukraine recover and build resilience.
