Rostyslav Karandieiev met with representatives of the “AI For Good” foundation

On August 26, the Acting Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, Rostyslav Karandieiev, met with representatives of the “AI For Good” Foundation.

The meeting was attended by Anastasia Fedyk, Chief Economist of the “AI For Good” Foundation, and Olena Kuk, Director of Content and Communications for the Ukrainian branch of the Foundation.

During the meeting, the Acting Minister familiarized himself with the Foundation’s activities and discussed potential collaboration with its representatives in preserving the testimonies of Ukrainians about the war, as well as advocating abroad for the issue of russia’s destruction of Ukrainian cultural and historical memory. The discussion also touched on the need for widespread dissemination of information globally about the crimes committed by russia in Ukraine.

“It is crucial to preserve the memories and testimonies of war witnesses for future generations to prevent its recurrence,” emphasized Rostyslav Karandieiev during the meeting.

The “AI for Good” Foundation is a non-profit organization that implements social projects through digitalization and cutting-edge technologies.

Among the foundation’s initiatives is the online platform “Witness,” which has already collected over 2,000 anonymous testimonies about the war. A hundred of these, qualified as war crimes, have been submitted to the Office of the Prosecutor General and included in pre-trial investigations.

The charitable foundation “AI for Good” organizes international exhibitions based on these testimonies. Six such events have already taken place in various cities across the United States. Every day, hundreds of foreigners visit the platform to read personal stories of Ukrainians, and foreign journalists use stories from the site in their reports. Another project of the foundation is the digital platform “We Are Strength,” which helps users find current locations of food and medicine sales, shelters, resilience centers, and more. Educational centers for children have been opened in Kyiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Odesa, and Mykolaiv.
