The meeting was also attended by Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia to Ukraine, Vahur Soosaar.

During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues related to the further development of Ukrainian-Estonian cooperation in the field of culture, collaboration within international initiatives, and joint efforts to counter modern information threats.

She particularly emphasized Estonia’s significant contribution to the preservation and promotion of Ukrainian culture, which has become one of the key priorities of Estonia’s foreign cultural policy.

Special attention was paid to the outcomes of the Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC2025), held this July in Rome. The Ukrainian side invited Estonia to join a number of initiatives aimed at restoring and strengthening cultural resilience, including the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Fund, the Culture Resilience Alliance, and the Cultural Recovery Platform (CuRe Platform).

One of the key topics of discussion was the fight against the illicit trafficking of cultural property and the return of artifacts looted from Ukrainian territory. The participants highlighted the importance of strengthening international cooperation in this area.

Information security and the development of media literacy were also addressed. Both sides reaffirmed their shared interest in countering disinformation and manipulative narratives, as well as in exchanging best practices and expertise in this field.
