On March 27, Mykola Tochytskyi, the Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine held a meeting with Felix Baumann, the Ambassador of Switzerland to Ukraine. They discussed ways to expand cooperation in culture and strategic communications.

The Minister expressed gratitude to Switzerland for its strong support of Ukraine, emphasizing the importance of cultural initiatives in the UCORD project and continued support for grant programs in cultural and creative industries.
Mykola Tochytskyi also shared the results of the “Cooperation for Resilience” international culture conference, held on February 1, 2025, in Uzhhorod. A key outcome was the adoption of the Declaration on Strengthening Cultural Sector Resilience in Ukraine, signed by representatives from 29 countries. The Ukrainian side invited Switzerland to join this initiative.
The meeting also stressed the importance of restoring Ukraine’s cultural heritage through collaboration between governments, businesses, and civil society.
The sides also discussed several initiatives, including restoring damaged monuments with the help of Swiss experts, creating educational programs to train Ukrainian restoration specialists, and developing digital tools for museums in Ukraine’s communities. These efforts are crucial for preserving cultural heritage in war-affected regions.
