The Minister of Culture of Italy presented a medal to Mykola Tochytskyi at the G7 summit

On September 20, during the G7 Culture Ministerial, Minister of Culture of Italy, Alessandro Giuli presented the “Two Years of Ukrainian Resistance” medal to Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine Mykola Tochytskyi. This award symbolizes international support and recognition of the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people.

The Italian Mint, with government support, announced the start of production of medals that will be available for purchase. This initiative aims to showcase to the world Ukraine’s unbreakable spirit in its fight for independence and national identity.

“The funds raised from the sale of the medal will be directed to support the pediatric hospital in Lviv, which provides care to Ukrainian children affected by the war,” noted Giuli.

The medal, minted in the workshops of the State Printing and Mint Institute, was also presented to other participants of the G7 Ministerial Meeting on Culture as a token of gratitude for their commitment to Ukraine. Alessandro Giuli urged the international coalition to work together to protect Ukraine’s cultural heritage and identity.
