The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine is launching a new, user-friendly website – mcip.gov.ua. The website has enhanced functionality and a modern design, incorporating new  opportunities for users and meeting inclusivity requirements. Technical and financial assistance for the website creation was provided with the support of the American people through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

The previous website of the Ministry, mkip.gov.ua, operated on outdated technologies and had issues with slow page loading speeds and stability, which negatively affected the user experience. Additionally, the previous website did not comply with accessibility requirements, hindering people with disabilities from using it fully.

The new website, developed without the use of funds from the state budget of Ukraine, has optimized technical architecture and a modern design that incorporates stylistic elements recommended by the Ministry of Digital Transformation. At the same time, it includes many elements of the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy’s corporate style, such as colored backgrounds and patterns.

The design of the new website takes into account mobile responsiveness, providing simplicity of use on small screens, quick access to important information, and an optimized design  to enhance the user experience on mobile devices.

The interface of the new website is intuitively understandable, ensuring quick and logical transition between sections and pages, following the principle of “two-clicks” to access sections and pages. Large photos and videos are  used throughout the website. To enhance user interaction, the website incorporates banners, widgets, integration with other websites and social media platforms, a subscription form for updates, and advanced search functionality, allowing users to quickly find the desired information on the website.

The website has an adaptive design, ensuring proper display on various devices, such as computers, tablets and smartphones at different resolutions, including 1920, 1366, 1024, 768, 576,  and 360 pixels.

The new website of the MCIP has been developed using modern technologies, such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript frameworks, and libraries. Faster and more efficient server-side data processing methods have been implemented as well. The page loading time of the new website page is no more than 2 seconds.

The new website is currently working in test mode. Until October 20th, you can send your suggestions to the email address [email protected], which will be taken into account during the website refinement process.
