Today, June 20, a meeting took place between Rostyslav Karandieiev, Acting Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, and representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Ukraine. The parties discussed potential ways for cooperation in the field of culture.
“We propose to our partners to intensify our cooperation in the field of culture. After all, we share common values that have been measured over centuries. New generations of people, our descendants, will be formed and developed based on the cultural heritage of the entire world. Therefore, it is important for us to preserve all the good achievements,” Rostyslav Karandieiev noted.
The Acting Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine outlined possible forms of cooperation. These include presenting books by Ukrainian authors in Tajikistan and publishing translations of Tajik classics and contemporary authors in Ukraine.
They also discussed identifying a location, such as a library, where these publications could be showcased. This place could become a center for demonstrating Tajik culture in Ukraine. Additionally, it is important to create a similar location in Tajikistan, where information about Ukraine would be concentrated.
“We had many plans before the war. The good, strong traditions and relationships that have developed between our countries are still preserved. Now, we want to intensify and develop our relations for the welfare of our countries,” emphasized Davlatali Nazrizoda, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to Ukraine.
He suggested finding the opportunity to designate a library that could be named after one of the classics of Tajik literature and be filled with information about the country, its history, and culture.
The parties discussed possible cultural events, including organizing tours, exhibitions, conducting scientific and sociological research involving young people, and other activities.
