On December 22, Ukraine received 14 generators for the cultural sphere from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) at the request of MCIP. Due to russian aggression, as a result of attacks on critical infrastructure facilities, Ukrainian cultural institutions throughout the country remain without heating and electricity, and need assistance.

“We received 14 generators from UNESCO. Our Heritage Emergency Response Initiative has accepted them and will distribute them to the museums which need the most help,” said Oleksandr Tkachenko, Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.
Ukraine is expecting more generators from partner countries to provide Ukrainian cultural institutions with equipment to overcome this winter and to be able to work.
It should be recalled that UNESCO is the key international organization in the world for the protection and preservation of cultural heritage. Recently, Oleksandr Tkachenko, Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, met with Audrey Azoulay, Director General of UNESCO, at the headquarters of the organization in Paris, during which the assistance for Ukrainian culture was discussed.
