1 May at the ArtHub of the news agency “Ukrinform” the opening of the exhibition “WOW, Ukraine!”, which tells the incredible facts about Ukraine and starts a series of events for international journalists related to the Eurovision 2017, took place.
The First Deputy Minister of information policy of Ukraine Emine Dzhaparova at the opening of the ceremony said: “We wanted to make the ArtHub of the “Ukrinform” an additional room for work and rest, comfort and convenience.
One and a half thousand foreign journalists will arrive in Kyiv as a part of the Eurovision, so we would like to tell them about Ukraine not only through the prism of politics, occupation and war, but also as the cultural, European, modern, unusual Ukraine”.
The Deputy noted that 6-7 may, within the framework of the events, organized by MIP and “Ukrinform”, foreign journalists will be acquainted with the traditions and culture of the Crimean Tatar people. “Jamala won with a song about the history of Crimean Tatar people, but no one knows about those people, their traditions and culture, their language. Therefore, we shall show things, that will tell about them not only at an angle of repressions, that are happening in the Crimea now”, Dzhaparova stressed.
Recall, from 1 to 14 May, the ArtHub of the news agency “Ukrinform” will be one of the locations that will be used during a singing competition and will become a platform for work and communication of foreign media representatives. During this period, the Ministry of information policy of Ukraine and “Ukrinform” are planning the events to present and popularize Ukrainian ethnic, historical and cultural values, with the participation of volunteers and organizations, with a view of improving the image of Ukraine in the world.
