June 9, the Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine Yurii Stets met with a delegation of the Ukrainian World Congress (UWC) led by the UWC President Yevhen Choliy.
During the meeting the parties discussed the issue of cooperation with Ukrainians living abroad, particularly with the Ukrainian World Congress, activation of efforts of Ukrainian community aimed at protecting the interests of Ukraine in information space, spreading truthful information about Ukraine worldwide, and drawing international support for our country.
The parties agreed to sign the Joint Action Plan of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine and the Ukrainian World Congress in the framework of the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Cabinet of Ukraine and the Ukrainian World Congress dated August 28, 2014.
The draft document will soon be developed by MIP experts in cooperation with Director of UWC Representative Office in Ukraine.
Meeting participants agreed to further coordinate their efforts in order to implement the joint projects between Ukraine and the UWC.
