29 July, Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine Yurii Stets held a meeting with teams of national information agency “Ukrinform” and State TV and Radio Company “World Service”UTR”, discussed plans and proposals for the multimedia foreign broadcasting platform of Ukraine.
“Ukraine needs reforms, including foreign broadcasting. Our task is to create a mature multimedia foreign broadcasting platform that will enable to deliver to the world information about Ukraine”, – said the Minister.
Yurii Stets presented to the teams the strategy for the development of multimedia foreign broadcasting platform of Ukraine and discussed with them urgent questions.
“You are the basis of a platform that is now being created. Together we must build a competitive foreign broadcasting of Ukraine for over 30 million of Ukrainians living abroad to be able to choose sources of information”, – said the Minister.
Recall, 24 June, 2015 the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine by decrees №678-R and №679-R also transferred integral property complexes of national information agency “Ukrinform” and State TV and Radio Company “World Service”UTR” under the MIP management.
