Today, 25 November, during the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine introduced a detailed presentation on restoration of Ukrainian broadcasting in the east of the country.
Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine Yurii Stets said: “MIP makes serious efforts in the direction of restoring Ukrainian broadcasting throughout Ukraine, including in ATO area”.
During the presentation, which was made by Deputy Minister – head of the office Artem Bidenko, a number of commissioned transmitters provided by foreign partners, for Ukrainian media to broadcast radio and TV programs on liberated territories of the east of the country were announced.
“Donetsk branch of BRT has commissioned transmitters for broadcasting of Donetsk RSTRC (with Hromadske TV of Donbas): Kramatorsk – 61th channel, Mariupol – 54th channel, Krasnoarmiisk – 27th channel, Volnovakha – 30th channel, Yelyzavetivka – 45th channel, Kurakhove – 31th channel. Pursuant to the decision of the National Council of Ukraine, the program of DonTRC is broadcasted instead of the program “TET” as more important to the audience in Svitlodarsk”- said Deputy, also reporting about broadcasting restoration of LuhTRC in Luhansk region.
Artem Bidenko also noted that, in Artemivsk, Donetsk branch of BRT has increased power of the transmitters of “UT-1”, “Studio 1 + 1” and “Channel 5”. In Volnovakha the transmitters of the television companies “Channel 5”, “Studio 1 + 1”, “Ukraine”, UT-1 were installed and commissioned. In Kramatorsk Donetsk branch of BRT has installed temporary pillar of 34 m height, resumed broadcasting of 13 television and 5 radio programs.
At the end of the speech the overall map of Ukrainian TV broadcasting in the east of the country was demonstrated.
In conclusion, Deputy Minister thanked the Government of the country, led by Prime Minister, BRT Concern and the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council for joint work in this direction.
