As part of the individual programme dedicated to information policy of Crimea the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine supported Sergey Garmash author programme entitled “Occupation” aired by the National Radio.
“The very fact of such an idea of the MIP evidences that we still fight for Crimea — this is important. I do this programme on a voluntary basis at MIP’s request”, programme author Sergey Garmash commented.
The information and analytical project of Donbas public radio called “Occupation” is intended to cover the main events of the week taken place on temporarily occupied territories of eastern Ukraine.
“Initially, the project was intended to be broadcasted for Crimea and south-eastern regions of Ukraine: the matter of occupied Donbas — to the occupied Crimea. However, at a joint meeting with the Head of the State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting Oleh Nalyvaiko, it was decided to distribute the content throughout Ukraine”, Yurii Stets stated.
The guest of the first programme was a Crimean journalist, editor of the “Chronicle of Donbas News” project Iryna Sedova. The programme began with a review of events taken place during a week on temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
“The only thing that could ruin Russia’s plans is reforms and economic recovery of Ukraine. Therefore, the main task of the Russian Federation is to prevent this”, journalist Iryna Sedova said during the first air of the “Occupation” programme.
As a reminder, in order to implement the state policy on reintegration of peninsula into the Ukrainian information space, the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine promotes individual programme dedicated to Crimea issue.
