The Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine reported for the fourth month of activity

21 July, 2015 press conference on “MIP progressanalysis for June 2015” with the Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine Yurii Stets, Deputy Minister Tetiana Popova, Advisor to the Minister on Crimean information policy Sergii Kostynskyi and  Advisor to the Minster on information security Dmytro Zolotukhin was held.

During his speech, Yurii Stets informed about major projects implemented by the Ministry for the month: transmission of the SBC “UTR” and UNIA “UKRINFORM” to the sphere of the MIP management on the basis of which creates a multimedia platform of broadcasting in Ukraine; discussion on previously  introduced by the ECMIP draft Concept of Information Security of Ukraine in the regions of the country and at international level; information support of a new wave of mobilization campaigns; realization of  the «Embedded Jornalism»  program; a number of foreign working visits aiming to discuss ways to counter Russian propaganda.

“Our achievements on actualization of information aggression, that Russia conducts towards Ukraine and the whole world, has brought results. Except us, the whole civilized world is countering the Russian propaganda. In particular, yesterday, during EU meeting of foreign ministers in Brussels, Warsaw and Amsterdam presented the project aiming to create a Russian-language television  intended to counter Russian propaganda. This fall in Estonia the first Russian TV channel ETV + will be launched. These projects are not pilot, they are on a regular basis “, – said Yurii Stets.

In turn, Deputy Minister Tetiana Popova reported on the progress and the first positive results of «Embedded Journalism» project, as well as the information support by MIP of fifth wave of mobilization “Dignity, Freedom, Victory”.

Dmytro Zolotukhin, who is also ECMIP secretary, told about the first results of the discussion on Concept of information security of Ukraine in regions (Odessa, Mariupol), where the document was discussed with leading specialists in this field and media experts. It should be noted that the main purpose of ECMIP is to develop three complementary documents: the draft Law on the Concept of Information Security, Doctrine of Information Policy of Ukraine and the State Program of information space development in Ukraine.

Recall, that to ensure openness and transparency of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine and in pursuance of the “Open Government” program, the Minister Yurii Stets introduced monthly public reports on the progress of the Ministry.
