29 October, Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine Yurii Stets held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Israel to Ukraine Eliab Byelotserkovski.
The purpose of the meeting is to establish cooperation between the states in terms of dissemination of information about Ukraine in Israel. In particular, establishment of contact for future solution of issues and mutual assistance in the field of information policy of the two countries were discussed.
Yurii Stets told about the launch of Multimedia foreign broadcasting platform of Ukraine and UATV foreign broadcasting channel, and modernization of National Information Agency of Ukraine “Ukrinform”, which is a part of the platform. Also he shared his plans on establishment of the media house in Ukraine for journalists and an international correspondent network.
“I am concerned about the issue of dissemination of information about Ukraine in Israel. Therefore, from today’s meeting I expect an outcome that will enable us to inform your residents about truth in Ukraine via UATV foreign broadcasting channel. I assure you that it will be information which corresponds to the actual events. You know our slogan: “The best counter-propaganda is truth”, – said the Minister.
The parties agreed on the next steps towards joint cooperation.

Recall that one of the main tasks of the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine is to support freedom of speech in Ukraine, to promote the work of journalists and to protect State’s information space. In particular, MIP developed and submitted for consideration to the Government documents in the field of information security: the Doctrine of Information Security and the Concept of information security of Ukraine. Multimedia foreign broadcasting platform of Ukraine is launched, Embedded journalisms program is put into effect, which has received positive reviews in the international media. MIP Communication campaigns reached the world level.
