On Wednesday, March 4, the Minister of Information Policy of Ukraine Yurii Stets with the participation of MIP advisor Oleksandr Brygynets held a working meeting on results of conducted monitoring mission in the ATO area aimed at defining the actual state of the information space on temporarily occupied territories.
As a reminder, the mission’s visit to the ATO area verified information about licensed and unlicensed Ukrainian channels on air, including the broadcasting by the Russian Federation and separatists. The monitoring team worked along the entire line of contact (Shyrokyne, Volnovakha, Pisky, Popasna, Shchastia, Stanytsia Luhanska), as well as in other large settlements (Mariupol, Kurakhove, Selidove, Krasnoarmiisk, Dzerzhynsk, Artemivsk, Kramatorsk, Slaviansk, Sviatohorsk, Svatove, Novoaidar, Rubizhne, Lysychansk, Severodonetsk, etc.).
Following the results of the meeting Yurii Stets instructed the Deputy Minister – Chief of Staff Artem Bidenko to systematize the work of advisers and provide a clear timetable on specific areas attaching them to relevant advisers.
In addition, the Minister informed the audience about the decision to cease cooperation with Oleksandr Baraboshko with further deprivation of his status as advisor based on mutual assent of both parties.
