The Ministry of Culture of Ukraine is the central executive authority whose activities are directed and coordinated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Culture is the principal body within the system of central executive authorities responsible for shaping and implementing state policy in the following areas:
- culture and the arts;
- cinematography;
- book publishing;
- information security of Ukraine;
- media;
- state language policy;
- protection of cultural heritage;
- museum affairs;
- export, import, and restitution of cultural property;
- preservation and restoration of national memory.
