Money from NFT sales will help restore architectural monuments destroyed by russians

META HISTORY museum in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine will present a special NFT collection by the top Ukrainian digital artists. All money raised will go to the recovery and restoration of architectural monuments destroyed by russia.

META HISTORY was created a month after the start of the full-scale russian invasion and as of today has already raised almost $1.2 million for the crypto fund Aid For Ukraine, which was initiated by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine along with the  Ukrainian-baised crypto platform KUNA and blockchain-company Everstake. The museum raises money by selling the NFT collections called Warline and Avatars for Ukraine. It’s a set of digital art pieces that chronologically highlights every major event in the russian-Ukrainian war.

At the end of May, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine became an official partner of the META HISTORY museum, starting the joint work on several special NFT collections. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of digital works will be directed to the restoration of Ukrainian cultural institutions.

“During the six months of the war in Ukraine,  russians have destroyed hundreds of our museums, theaters and cultural centers. Ukrainian culture and national heritage have been damaged by almost 6 billion euros, and as to the  actions and intentions of the russian federation, this amount will only be increased. That is why today it is important to support modern initiatives and creative projects to restore Ukraine’s unique cultural heritage, involving as much of interested people as possible in the process,” said Oleksandr Tkachenko, Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.

Connoisseurs of digital art and collectors will be able to purchase works from the special collection “Avatars for Ukraine” Vol.2, created by the top Ukrainian digital artists and video game developers. A special collection devoted to the cities of Ukraine, created together with the microstock online platform Depositphotos, will also be presented.

In August, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, Depositphotos and the META HISTORY project team will hold a joint presentation of these collections in a virtual exhibition space at Metaverse.
